28. The fact is, WE hold OURSELVES to a higher standard.

And we should. The standard for Republicans is so low that no one just barely meeting it should have the right to be called a human being, let alone trusted with political office.

We are better than that.

But that (I suspect) isn't what you and others are ranting about. You are upset and ranting that the truth is not obvious to all.

Well, it should. I agree. Sadly, though, even if journalism were great again, if truth were the highest standard for news and everyone had to meet it, there would still be these people who would not believe the truth. I don't knowwhat can be done about that. For some, likely nothing - it's too late.I'd surely love to know how to reach those for whom it is not yet too late - and how to identify them. But I don't...I doubt whether anyone does.
