41. This confirms what I always suspected

OT, but I liked to go camping a lot - before the pandemic. Small "c" camping - in a van.

Campground smoke is a problem for me. At peak season, the smoke sometimes gets so thick that you would call the cops on your neighbors if it happened in your neighborhood. No matter how big and fancy the motor coach extravanza, the first thing the guy does is build a big smoky fire. 20 feet from the next guys.

Some primeval instinct must kick in to protect the womenfolk and offspring from wild beasts, and to cook the meat from the big hunt that isn't going to happen. I've been in campgrounds where these families sit like bumps on logs in forest-fire like haze to "enjoy" the great outdoors.

These are probably guys who don't wear facemasks either.

Baffling.
