You seem to get stuck on, "The police are investigating reports that it was over a face mask" Well that is standard practice. The police can't declare the outcome of an investigation before its concluded, no matter how it looks. Even with a smoking gun. You are right in that nothing is proven yet, but I'm curious going through this thread to see how proliferate you are in admonishing those who simply put two and two together based on what is being reported.

If parts of the reported story are correct, and she did not have a mask, and the stores policy required one, and during the dispute, she spit in his face and came back later with her dad and a gun are correct, what do you think it was about? Why such adamant belief it could be about anything else? You may be right, but its hard for me to find another reason, especially if none other is even brought up.
