3. My wife drove up to northern Germany to make lunch for her mom today

She left early this morning, expects to be back around 9 PM (2¼ hour drive each way). Just before noon here in Düsseldorf, the doorbell rang. I was expecting no one, but I went to the door and opened it. There was delivery guy with a huge bouquet of flowers that I definitely did NOT order. I do that on Valentine's Day and her birthday, when I know she will be around.

There was a card attached, and I suspected I knew from whom it was. Sure enough, our two daughters, one over in the USA (New York City) and the other near here in the Taunus Hills (Königstein) outside of Frankfurt had conspired to send my wife a big bouquet to the "best Mama ever." I don't know who told them, but they're right, of course.
