... explained it the other day that NY's cases skew what's happening in the rest of the country because there were so many in NY.

The CFR in the US is 5+ stable no matter were so we count the deaths from there.

Things are getting better in tri state area, not the rest of the country IE the reason why on the county level things are horrible with relative Ro's above 1 in over 95% of the US's 3007 counties.
