Have you been able to speak with your doctor about this? I suspect you might have better luck with him.
Absolutely do NOT go in just for a prescription renewal.
Find a new doctor if you need to. One who is willing to write you a prescription after a video checkup.
Search for "on-line checkup and prescriptions" without the quotes.
