(13,292 posts)During one of the 2016 debates, Trump was asked if he would accept the results of the election. "If they show I won I will," was his snarky reply.
I bet he's got an army of lawyers working on how to invalidate the vote if he loses. We know the Repugs are masters at voter suppression and propaganda. In 2000, when the expectation was that Dubya ("I'd like to have a beer with him," ) would win the popular vote and Gore (Mr. Stiff) the electoral one, a plan was in place for the RW media and acolytes to raise such a ruckus to force Gore to concede. In the end, that's not the way it turned out, and Gore lost by one vote -- the SCOTUS named him president by a 5-4 vote.
This year we've been warned by the intelligence agencies that Russia used 2016 as a dry run for this election. It's going to take a massive voter turn out and overwhelming Biden victory to pry Trump's orange little hands from the WH doorway.
