We cant have a free press that engineers a coup on a partisan whim. Not one media group, not a media conspiracy to overthrow the government should be tolerated by anyone who stands up for democracy.

If the shoe was on the other foot, would anyone want that? No, let the people speak up, let the respected statesmen, the learned experts and the powerful mavens of the public and private sectors be heard.

No, let the media investigate, compare, explain, show the backstory and the consequences in the course of their reporting. Let the facts lead and call out the charlatans, the liars and cheats for the corrupting influence those of that ilk have on the functions of democracy.

Let the media do old school, in depth, accurate reporting. This is necessary, not continue to churn out the usual, lazy stenographers type of page filler that is so common today.
