(154 posts)Media should assume automatically, instantly, that anything Trump says is a bald-faced lie.
They should stop with the "give him the benefit of doubt" routine. It's beyond stale.
Plus, it should be fucking easy for them, if they would merely pretend to be lucid at the pressers.
There's always a "tell" with Trump - e.g., anytime he refers to himself as "sir" in a monologue, he's just made up shit.
And now, for this recent example:
When asked, Trump said this (about his doctor):
"I asked him, 'What do you think?' He said, 'Well if you'd like it.'" I said, 'Yeah I'd like it. I'd like to take it. A lot of people to take it a lot of frontline workers are taking hydroxychloroquine."
The media response to this "tell" (incorrectly attributing behavior to someone) should immediately have been, "No, doctors don't prescribe shit if the patient, you know, would like it - this is another bald-faced lie."
And follow-up, "No, there's no record of frontline workers taking hydroxychloroquine as you're suggesting - please give us specifics and details."
..at which point Trump would angrily refer to the questioner as part of the fake lamestream media, and storm off camera.
