14. Who knows if it's true but an article I read said the store clerk knew him and wasn't sure he knew

the bill was fake. He was pointed out as the person who gave it, but it doesn't seem to have been "He was trying to get away with passing a counterfeit bill" but "I have a counterfeit bill, I'm supposed to report that, and oh yes, he's still around."

As I said there's a lot out there that's not true but he appears to have been well known and liked.
