79. years ago visiting my parents i went out to get something from the truck and

someone was walking their little dog and it barked at me and i stuck my hand down to say hi in case it was friendly and looked up and it was rumsfeld coming around the corner walking the dog. he put his hand out and said hello and smiled. i raised my hand out automatically but stopped before actually shaking it and didn't smile back and he got the message. he was visiting friends or something and my parents saw him or the black SUV once in a while. as my father, ex marine and anti nukes/anti iraq war, got a little older my mother and i worried he might run into him and shoot him.

after obama won but bush jr was still in the white house they invited limbaugh to lunch there with pres and limbaugh recounted the visit proudly the monday after. i think he realized after he told the story to his milllions that they were actually not happy that he waited too long to support mccain. the birthday cake he got was in shape of a chocolate microphone as if to say here suck on this for 4 or 8 years......
