(864 posts)Wes was in second place in New Hampshire and Kerry and Edwards were way down in single digits when they unexpectedly topped the Iowa caucuses and came roaring into NH. Kerry went on to win but Clark got second place in many states while Edwards came in first only in his home state (favorite son) and Clark outbid him elsewhere. Then came the blackout in Tennessee and Wes, seeing the handwriting on the wall, flew to meet with Kerry and supported him. It was a surprise that Edwards was chosen as VP as many excected Clark to get the position. Edwards then sort of drifted out of the spotlight, a bad choice.
I hope Clark gets a prominent position in the Biden administration (Sec of Defense, Ambassador to the United Nations, whatever). Wes is, as they say, a national treasure.
