144. The cop was being a dick.

Yeah, the guy probably could have avoided it by just giving into the cop being asshole, but imagine having to do that your entire life. I put the blame on the cop, because he is the one with the power in this situation. He could have gave a helpful tip to the driver that he could get a ticket if he continued parking the wrong way. Instead, he had his delicate little feels hurt because the driver responded with the same tone as he was being spoken to. At which point the cop decided to escalate the encounter for no good reason.

I would have a totally different take on this if the cop informed the driver he can't park that way, and then driver continued to park on the wrong side. Although, I may argue that is over-policing and I would rather people not be ticketed for such things. But I could be wrong on that,and there could be a very good reason why that law exists.
