It's not so much about anger at his victim. It's about being a COWARDLY SHEEP.

Make no mistake... he WANTED to be seen punching that man... because he thought it would bring attaboy points from his fellow herdsmen.

I hope his fellow sheep cowards ratted him out. I wouldn't be surprised.
