The Tea Party and all its mutations have absorbed the Republican Party.

Any attempts to slay the beast will lead to revocation of your club membership and a public lambasting of your character.

By now, Reagan would probably have been taken to the sausage-making factory, had he not conveniently passed away before the beast had a chance to devour him whole.
