31. Society is degenerating. Imagine my life, going to public high school in TX in the sixties. The

Very worst thing we ever had a teacher say, and he was from the North, was all southerners were stupid. He also made crude sexist remarks and oogled the girls. He was shunned by the students and we all talked behind his back.

We never said anything about age or race or sexual orientation, we all knew who was what. The school had several thousand of students attending classes daily over a large campus. It was in a working class area with different races, all the buildings constructed by the WPA.

I'm sorry that this generation is putting up with people who are so ignorant, petty and hateful. No respect being shown in the place where proper behavior is supposed to be modeled. I'm very sorry for your daughter and hope that the teacher is reprimanded and made to apologize.

If he can't control himself enough to keep his nasty remarks out of the class room where impressionable young people are forced to be there in order to learn, he has no business teaching.
