144,000 in Tulsa County voted for Trump in 2016.... [View all]

So if only 6,200 or 4% of his voters turned up for what was supposed to be a huge rally in some ways officially kicking off his restart of the 2020 campaign that means one of two things….

1. Either his followers know he’s full of shit on COVID and in some sense think he is putting them at risk for attending
2. His base of foaming-at-the-mouth followers really aren’t as die hard as we all thought they were.

And this I just from Tulsa county, so presumably his core base of followers which we all roughly estimate at about 30% of voters, would have maybe driven 2 hours or so to be there, so there are hundreds of thousands more who could have attended and didn’t.

There is no way to look at this as anything but a massive failure for Trump and what I’m thinking is a bigger signal that his support is suffering across the board. Sure a lot of people in polls are just automatically saying they would support him, but when it comes to boots on the ground they just really aren’t that into him anymore.
