32. I would agree with a lot you said except:

The 4th is 8 days away. Fireworks are illegal here but Riverside is just down the road about 3 miles and huge fireworks tents go up there about 2 weeks ahead of time. If it was just the 4th it wouldn't be bad.

The reason fireworks are illegal is because t. hey are really dangerous. And you can't breathe the air for about 2 days. Every year several houses burn to the ground. The 911 lines are so jammed up it's impossible for people who need emergency help to get it. if you have a heart attack you are just dead. If your house catches fire it just burns to the ground. You just can't believe how bad it gets. The whole city turns into a giant war zone.

And every year children have fingers blown off or lose eyes.

The thing is no one in my poor neighborhood has any idea what the 4th even is. If you asked them what it is that people are celebrating they would have no idea. It's just a day to get drunk and blow their hands off.

Well. So much for that rant. We will make it through. We always do and then we are good fir another year.
