66. I wish I had a soundproof room for my one dog, who is absolutely terrified by fireworks.

My two small ones are not bothered by the noise, but they pick up on her anxiety. She pants, yawns, shakes, paces....you name it.

I've tried numerous drugs for her, even giving her Ativan, but nothing works. She hates thunder too, but at least that's not caused by idiots who like to make things blow up.

She has a best friend pit bull owned by a friend of mine, and we've learned that he's kind of a support dog for her. So he'll be coming over during that week. He seems to calm her.

It's really awful that you're having them already. So far, I've heard a few, but not many. I dread the fourth.

Screw those people who called you names. It says much more about them than it does about your opinion.

It's a derogatory and sexist term that unfortunately some on DU have embraced with enthusiasm.
