Doom and gloom have no place in this historic battle we face, that's for certain. It sounds like depression and fear my play into that as well and it is understandable that the stress and shock of recent events would induce that.
Here's wishing everyone more intestinal fortitude, solidarity and better focus on the important duty we have to democracy itself.
Maybe the idea of what we may be able to accomplish after we win will also help. The focus on democracy itself is at issue now and we really have to expand and strengthen it in every way so that it does not fail, (perish the thought) and takes us all into the rest of this century with more equality, freedom and prosperity for everyone and for all races which means ALL Americans.
Much work and many changes await and we can do that with the right kind of Executive Branch to lead us into a new cycle of resilience and vision that brings pragmatic results more rapidly than ever before. We can and will do better, if we want.
