You're son is spot on. Recognize the problem. Do some fluffy political speeches about how dangerous this is, and then step away and let the experts handle it. Whatever they need, whatever they want....they get. Full power of the US government behind them to smooth the way. Then we would be in the same shape as South Korea and Japan.
