The OP asked what "danger" could have possibly referred to. I gave him an example. A "threat" I remembered reading about at the time. If you didn't know I was answering that direct question, then I can understand how you got that idea. Otherwise, I don't understand why you got a chip on your shoulder about this.

The only way you could say, with the information available at the time, there was no trace of a threat to US citizens is to claim those Leninist, anti-American groups did not exist. Those groups had no reason to be honorable to the capitalist pigs. Because we had been ratty on foreign policy.

If you understand the term "in hindsight" as a comparison to an alternate universe, then your concept is invalid, pure and simple. That's not what it means. Those are two utterly different concepts and neither one implies the other.

Therefore, if that's what you think I meant, then you base it on a conceptual error. Pressing it any further now is simply forcing a straw man. I won't get drawn into it.

But you're antagonism makes me suspicious that maybe the subject at hand isn't what pisses you off. I begin to think this is personal.
