Masks are vital.

However, there is one flaw in that test as far as viral infections goe. Bacteria are about 1000nm in size while viruses are 20-400nm. So, the kind of material used in the test might matter since there can be some leakage.

COVID-19 is about 120nm, ( between .05 and 0.2 microns).

This comment only applies to the test itself. More caution has to be taken in this respect. Even though droplets tend carry the virus, it is possible for the virus to permeate certain mask materials to some degree.
