They are lucky the protesters were not there for violence and were not armed.
If you aim a gun at someone it is reasonable for that person to feel their life is at risk.
The way they both had their fingers on the trigger, a huge violation of rudimentary firearm safety, it is lucky one of them did not shoot the other one. Their privilege has made them think they are immune from the consequences of their actions.
