In reply to the discussion: Remember the awful neighbor who called the police because of a patio? There's a fabulous sequel. [View all]Hekate
(100,133 posts)I used to live on a nice neighborly street, with one nut case, Rita, and her enabling husband across the street and 3 houses down from me. I never knew much about them for like 20 years, until her actual next door neighbor unburdened herself to me in a frantic moment. Poor little Olga wouldnt hurt a fly, and the bullying had been intense. Who knew?
Sharon, next door to Olga and directly across from me, was originally from New Jersey and a real no-nonsense nurse by profession. Sharon filled me in, and yikes. Rita made the lives of those directly next door to her and directly across the street from her just miserable. Probably across the fence in back as well. She watched. She commented. She bitched. Rinse, repeat. According to Sharon, Rita was responsible for the departure of a family across the street from her, with her constant fault finding of their children, who did awful things like play basketball in their own driveway.
She tried some of that on Sharon when Sharon moved in, but Sharon was having none of it. Yay, New Jersey.
The more I heard, the more I realized Rita had a screw loose. And when I say her husband was her enabler, well Fred backed her up all the way.
Now watch that video again. Is that the behavior of a rational person? Listen to the verbal exchange. I dont think Susan is going to change her mind. Whatever is wrong with her psyche will take a shrink to untangle, but since she thinks she is in the right, she won't be seeking professional help.
