The US Republican Party took a proverbial "three-hour tour" with GWBush, and ended up on a Gilligan's Island remote from the real world, where they are stuck indefinitely due to their own incompetence. In that fantasy land Williard Mitt Romney is a maladroit and unfunny Thurston Howell III. David Brooks says it better here.
