My 4th weekend in very Red small town KS. My sister was there but very weak [View all]
At my in-laws, some asshole in a truck had a confederate flag, the USA flag and a fu45 flag stuck in his tailgate. I flipped him off and hubby said, remember this isn't your house.
My sister is very weak and it was bitter sweet to know this is her last 4th of July. She tried to eat but got sick, so I went to Sonic (the only place in town) and got her an orange slushi.
My other sister is married to a preacher's son. Sister's hubby is awesome, but his dad the preacher...He is 88 and losing his mind, but I had my "I only sleep with Democrats" t-shirt on. He asked me why I was a Democrat I told him bluntly because I care about others but also you can't be a Christian and support trump. He asked me to explain and I started with adultery and ended with a racist con man and the preacher shut up. ( He was my preacher for 15 years.
Thank you ALL for what you have done for my sister. I showed her the comments from you guys and she was just in tears. She is so worried about her final expenses. They have no $ and she went to the bank and asked about funeral loan. How I wish I could make her not worry about that.
