11. It was a noose. It wasn't a hoax, but it wasn't directed AT Wallace.

The way that it was characterized from the beginning was messed up. There was a rope that was fashioned like a noose in the stall that Wallace and his crew were assigned. It had been there for some time before the assignment. Wallace was not the one who found the noose or complained about it. The whole "support" thing was around the noose in conjunction with the Confederate Flags being taken down at events.

Trump is just an idiot who jumps on pieces of information, distorts them, and uses them to stoke division.
