The reality is she was following the rules, while at the same time being a vocal critic of them.

The sense I get is she will be less hostile to mask-wearing and wearers moving forward. I may not have pushed her into the "masks are a good idea" camp but at least I got her out of the "masks are stupid camp"

As I said the author really doesn't feel the techniques are so much to get people to think the way you want them to, but rather to get people off of bad beliefs.
