Six Flags - Discovery Kingdom - Northern California [View all]

My daughter and I went there today. There were no rides, but the animal attractions were open, as were most of the restaurants/food kiosks.

I've seen some posts on DU that are highly critical of the Disney theme parks. I have no information on those, but the Six Flags park we went to in NorCal (Vallejo, to be exact) was EXCELLENT. First of all, you had to make reservations to even get into the park, as numbers were sharply limited. In addition, there were sanitizing stations everywhere, masks were required, and all seating for shows was clearly socially distanced by markings, and were strictly enforced. It was extremely hot today, especially in the afternoon, but the vastly reduced crowds, the well-thought out COVID-19 precautions etc, made it a really pleasant day.

I felt safe there with my daughter (and me). I am not sure when they will open rides, but I am very happy with our experience today.
