Buffet built his fortune over decades of prudent investments. His fortune is very secure.

Musk's fortune is mostly because people are betting Tesla will be the largest car company ever. I find that to be a bit hopeful, to say the least. Currently, Tesla does not have the sales to back up the high valuation of the company.
