You were articulate and on point.

I lived in Overland Park, KS, from 1990 to 2008, when, after a divorce, I moved to Santa Fe, NM. I actually ran for office, for the Kansas State House in 2004. I lost, alas, but it was an incredible experience, so much so that I'd actually encourage lots of people to run for office.

But I feel exceptionally fortunate that I was able to leave Kansas, even though there was a lot I liked about that state. It was a good place to raise my two sons. I still have friends and family back there, and visit semi-frequently. At this point, of course, I have no idea when I'll be back. But someday. Someday.
