(21,146 posts)29. This is exactly why I favored Biden in the primaries
even though I lean more progressively toward Warren.
Biden has the experience of the executive branch and the knowledge of government structure that's necessary for the clean up. Plus he has close contacts like Obama for consultation. I am reasonably sure that Biden is already consulting with and strategizing with several people on how to repair the damage.
It is absolutely essential that the rest of us have Biden's back from the very start and stand solidly and openly with him throughout his term. After Bush II, too many people faded away once Obama was sworn in, as if the battle was over instead of just beginning. That allowed the Tea Party to gain ground. We canmot afford to make that mistake again.
