(47,992 posts)all of the individual members of the group, who CHOOSE to abide by the agreed upon connections that make the group the group that it is, . . . that is, government, as the agent of our group, OWES all of the individual members of the group REAL VALUE compensation for their individual free assents to be members of the group.
Failing that social contract negates the obligations of the lesser empowered party to the contract.
More simply put, this Golden Rule radical suggests that all of us apply the Golden Rule to everything and, then, consider: If what you have to offer is disrespected and/or rejected, why doesn't the Golden Rule justify the way you're being treated as a model for how you may (freely choose, I hope) to treat those who have established that modality as the principle of your relationship?
If you're being used, without regard for your own humanity, USING becomes the "law of the land."
Using others, without regard for their humanity, this is what Republicans are promoting in the Romney/Ryan candidacy. THAT's what he was promoting to his bundlers about the 47%
