If a "kid" who's a legal adult threatens a minor, isn't that super illegal? [View all]

One of my son's old "friends" showed up at his work this morning and threatened him...

Like, "now I know where you are..." and "you better watch out"

My son is 17 and the other "kid" is 19

My son immediately filed a report with his work and I have a call into the Sheriff...Also told them to look up the kids name and see that he has a history of trying to get my kid in trouble (framed him for robbing a house, then showed up with a car load of teens and baseball bats to beat him up...then planted the goods in his room when he ran - my son was the one who ended up on probation)

What is that called when someone threatens you like that? harassment?
