Trust me, I have no love for any religious hierarchy, and the LDS and the RCC are among my least loved. That said, I know many of their members abhor much of their churchs' political activities. Why they remain affiliated with these organizations - habit? tradition? entropy? - is another discussion for another time and place, but while I've got the torches and pitchforks at the ready for the leadership of these groups, I'm not willing to tar and feather every lay member.
