Yahoo just suspended comments [View all]

I was looking at a story on Yahoo News and I went to the discussion board and found to my surprise:

"Our goal is to create a safe and engaging place for users to connect over interests and passions. In order to improve our community experience, we are temporarily suspending article commenting."

And then I realized I was probably going to type something horrible anyway, but still I wonder what this means. Maybe it's temporary.
