(5,960 posts)14. We have 4 layer cloth masks with a filter pocket and KN95's.
We mostly use the cloth masks. The KN95's are backup and for going in stores if we don't have the cloth mask with us (I keep a couple KN95's in the car).
As for how long to use KN95's not sure. I heard you can rotate them out and let them air out for 72 hours, but you need several if you do that. It is what we do, if we have to use one.

The valve masks only protect you, they are not useful if you care about others.

Several cotton ones. Some I made with Pelon filter. Those I bought came with a disposable filter.

I would not wash them. The mask might look good, but everything I read suggests it destroys the

Level 3 surgical mask. Actually provides us some protection as well as keeping others safe.

I use 3 layer cloth masks ,or a 2 layer with an added filter if I expect to encounter people.

N95 NIOSH certified. And some N95s made in Long Beach CA that are registered but not cert.
