Which puts you, it seems to me, ahead of the US and Colombian authorities, and possibly the family too. Maybe you should enlighten everyone.

The fundamental question which needs to be answered is 'why did the girl give someone's name, and then go along with the deportation as someone else?' I can't find any satisfactory suggestion for that, yet.
