8. The polls say only 23% connect with him

and I expect most of that is because he is the republican candidate and not an actual sentiment. In short, they want to believe it because he is the only nominee they have. Truth be told the number of real people connecting with him in a truly out of context and unbiased way is less than 10%. Only a couple of the t-party types in my neighborhood have his signs out, and one is the local republican party organizer.
