Obama is giving the eulogy, which Fat Nixon couldn't stand to be present for anyhow. He has to be the bride at every wedding and the corpse at every funeral (thanks to Alice Longworth), and if he has to just sit and listen to a better man being deservedly praised to the skies he couldn't stand it.
