I'm sure that illegal immigrants frequently attempt to provide false identities when arrested. It's the job of the police and ICE to check these things out and determine that the dude using some dead guy's social security number isn't really who he says he is.

But somehow one 14 year old runaway offers a false name with no supporting documentation and the authorities are helpless to see through her clever ruse?

Come on.
