1. A tough one. Perhaps ask your supervisor for advice. Your friend burned his telecommuting bridge.

You are at that place where if you contradict your supervisor, and your friend blabs, it could jeopardize your telecommuting privileges too. Ask your supervisor how they would handle this, because you will honor their wishes, but also to suppress the news from getting out.

It would be a bit of a jerk for your friend to expect you to give up your remote access because they couldn't be mature with their own work-at-home privileges.
