Oddly enough, I too remember the entire song, and will probably have it bouncing in my head for the next month now. But, for my generation, singing along to this when I was 4 and 5, it never seemed negative. My dad liked Fritos so I thought Fritos and the Frito Bandito were awesome.

So, despite the racist nature of the cartoon, it could be possible that there are people who were left with positive feelings for our neighbors to the south because of it.

Now I think I need to go find the good and plenty commercial to get the frito Bandito out of my head!
