There are issues. i.e. the environment and there are Passion issues i.e. take my gun away. Someone can agree with you on 9 out of 10 issues but will vote against you on the one passion issue. The art of politics is to hold down you opposition by avoiding passion issues you are against and stimulate your base with passion issues you are for. We are stimulating the oppositions passion issue. Not good.
