Now Joe has to "dance with the partner that brung him". And that is as it should be. That primary would have been his last.

And since he must have a black vp, it might as well be a female. ALL of the black female vp options would be a good choice. Some better than others. It shows his support for blacks AND his support for women.

You can't get more progressive than that, without starting to lose votes.

You can't please ALL the people ALL the time, but he is coming close, whether Harris OR Rice. I believe Harris has more excitement to offer, but Rice is already a known quantity for Joe. Either one will more than fit the bill.
