Head injury) the wiring you speak of, environmental factors (emotional damage), and genetic factors (parents had mental illness, substance abuse in utero, etc..)

If you hear the accounts of what life was like for Trump growing up, and who Fred Trump was as a father and the absent mother, you can see where Trump's world view was established.

Emotionally damaged is a vernacular. The whole Trump family is messed up. Mary Trump's dad, died an alcoholic. The other kids have also not had very good lives. Donald Trump's kids are similarly messed up because damage is typically transmitted generationally both by genetics and interaction patterns.
