The claim was that he was "resisting arrest," but he was never told he was under arrest. The cop with a short-person complex was slapping him on the belly, Mr. Garner said "don't touch me," short cop didn't like being talked-back to, and choked him to the ground, triggering the heart attack.

Eric Garner was killed for resisting assault under color of authority.
