So I guess when Anna Freud articulated the concept of "identification with the aggressor", she wasn't describing just a phenomenon but an actual disease. As a health-care provider, it is probably especially sad for you to see the conditions that are not only preventable, but easily so. Wearing a mask outside the house is just so much easier than even regular brushing and flossing are. Peace to you and to his family.
