(28,493 posts)123. I thought that when it was in sleep mode,
just clicking the mouse or pressing a key wakes it up.
This really seems like it's turned off and simply refuses to turn back on. And yeah, that this should happen simultaneous to a new keyboard is weird.

So long as you are careful and only unplug the PC, your modem should not be impacted at all
